Dan Matlock

Sales Concierge

Like several other members of our rockstar team, Dan Matlock took a circuitous (and fascinating!) route to Owl’s Head. At each stop along the road, he has been driven by his desire to do meaningful work alongside a values-driven team.

Growing up in central Illinois, Dan’s higher education was centered on a program called Rockford Masters Commission, a gap-year, theology-based program that he went on to help lead, first from Illinois and then from Austin, Texas, before returning to Rockford. He eventually started and grew Eikon Church near Austin based on social justice and inclusivity along with faith. He moved on from the church in 2022, ready for the next phase of his journey.

That phase embraced his leadership talents and honed his sales and marketing skills as he founded and ran Eden Living, a company that designed tiny houses on wheels. This concept has been seen as an important step in solving the world’s housing and climate challenges. Once again, Dan found meaning in his work.

More recently, Dan held sales positions with Altezza, followed by Alludo. With both companies, he made significant impacts right out of the gate, creating new outreach systems for the sales teams, overseeing major accounts, and developing relationships with decision-makers at prospective clients. This ability to connect with prospects, along with the outstanding metrics he achieved in these roles, sets him apart and makes him a valued addition to the Owl’s Head team.

What drew Dan to Owl’s Head is the opportunity to combine his sales experience with his talent for making connections and finding solutions developed during his early years as a faith leader. Working with us in healthcare and public health on projects that drive social awareness and improve people’s lives has been a natural transition from his early years in non-profit spaces serving local communities. In Dan’s words on joining Owl’s Head, “I was excited to connect with an agency that not only does great work but does great work for great causes. I am grateful to do work that really matters.” Well said, Dan!
